This Boots Are Made For Walking, pt1: Brown Boots
Wednesday, February 28th, 2007It’s getting warmer but not quite so before the Spring finally(oh please!!)creeps up upon us I wanted to sneak in at least a couple of posts featuring my favorite fall/winter ensemble focusing on my faux suede brown knee-high boots which I bought from good ‘ol PAYLESS 3 years ago for $19.99. First of, I prefer stacked heels over stilletos when it comes to boots. Yes the latter are oh so sexy but let’s face it’s hard to walk in them. We lived in NY for 8 years where we got inches after inches of snow during winter. To be comfortable and still maintain the chic style that you want, it’s a necessity to opt for a stacked heel boots. We’re now in a State where it gets cold and doesn’t snow except for certain parts(although not as bad as NY) but I still love my preferred kind of boots. Trends are trends but chic and comfort goes a long way my friends.

These are 2 variations of the natural tone look I love during the fall/winter. Crinkled full skirt was $9.98 from Goody’s, olive green crinkle camisole from Metro7 collection(Wal-Mart) on sale for $3, dark brown long sleeves button mini-blazer that I’ve had in my wardrobe for years so I can’t remember where I bought it and how much. I’m pretty sure it didn’t cost me more than $10. Second look is the same except for the skirt. Bubble print pleated skirt that I found at AAFES from one of their 75% off sale 3 or 4 years ago. I can’t remember the prize too but I know I didn’t pay more than $10 either.
There you go, come back tomorrow for the black faux suede knee-high look. See you then :).
