NOT TO WEAR : Shortalls
I was browsing OLD NAVY for bargains to post here today but I found this instead. Ahhhhhhh. I’m flabbergasted. Please, I beg you, DO NOT wear this. Unless you are a toddler ready for playtime in the nearest playground, you can not wear this blasted thing. I can’t even put together a sentence to describe how I abhor this particular item. What is ON thinking?

If I see any of you wearing this in public I swear I’ll chase you with my style wand stick. You don’t want me doing that do you?.

hehe.. I still like gouchos. They’re so comfy! Also, hubby likes them on me. I guess it shows off a little bit more of my itty bitty behind.

I’m sure it looks great on you Ayen but I see them all the time on the wrong people. :X Not pretty! It’s hard to pull off and the fabic is not forgiving lol.

i don’t own any gauchos. i see some women who looks great in ‘em but i know i’ll look like a poundcake trying to fit in it so i avoid it.
ayen you’re petite so it’s perfect for you.
that’s what i love about having your own style. you know what works so you go with it.
excpet for this shortalla…LOL. only a toodler will look good in it.

Star, yeah.. I’ve seen some of those people too. Seems like they don’t look in the mirror before leaving the house. You’re right about the fabric though. They also tend to give you a “wedgie” if you don’t watch out.. LOL
I also can’t stand seeing women Wearing tight jeans with a “muffin top” as Stacey London on “What not to wear” would say.
Deej, yup.. it’s hard to find clothes that fit good and makes me look my age though, so I usually end up at the junior’s section. A lot of times, I see something I like but it’s not in my size. You’re just the right height and size. Much easier for you to find clothes that fit.
Let me know if you find someone who makes nice clothes (not kiddie-like) for short/petite people, pleeze!

[...] I don’t know if you’re aware of this but I’m a Momma who’s proud the way she looks. The best thing about that is I do it affordably. Meaning, I don’t dip into my kids’s college fund. With the fondness and vigor on this particular niche, Bargain Styling was born. A blogging topic that suits me perfectly, hence I can do that blogging job it with my eyes closed . Anyhooo, if you are wondering that does this have to do with that awful picture you are trying not to stare at, well let me tell you. On April 12th, I wrote about how ugly and begged fabulous Momma’s like me to please stay away from this Shortalls or Dungarees. I was particularly appaled that OLD NAVY of all places is selling it. Well. apparently not everyone(oh imagine that..LOL) stumbled upon it coz my life flashed before my eyes last Saturday. So while S was looking for a battery for the lawn mower, me, C, and the baby were looking at seeds that we’re going to plant in my garden, when this woman walked into the store wearing Dungarees with sneakers. Oh My Gawd. I almost fainted. I wanted to go to her so badly and start with my plethora of style jargons. I wanted to introduce her to(watch out, links ahead..LOL) smocked tops, belted tunics, wedges and heels, polka-dot dresses, bold prints, multi-print skirts, LBD’s, the classic trouser look for under $100, frilly blouses, and even just a regular tee with jeans, and that during winter you can definitely wear a dress/skirt with a pair of knee-high boots, and so on and so forth. My superficiality, or vanity, whatever you want to call it was in an active mode. BUT of course I didn’t wanna get a beat down from a stranger who probably couldn’t care less whether I’m alive or not, let alone my unsolicited advice on being stylish so I just minded my own business and went on with my seed-searching task. This is the Old Navy’s PigDog offering IMO: http://www.oldnavy.com/browse/product.do?cid=15294&pid=484131
It looks worse in the store, believe me–all I could think of was my grandpa’s ancient carpenter’s apron hanging in the basement, cobwebby with a spider crawling out of the pocket. I don’t know how close it is to the one you posted, but close enough.
