Quality Instead of Quantity

How many times have you looked in your closet that’s full of clothes and said to yourself - I have nothing to wear.
It’s a common feeling.
But keep these helpful hints in mind when shopping:
Doubt means don’t – If you’re not totally sure about it, don’t buy it or it’s going to be another shirt or dress hanging in your closet that you don’t wear.
Buy clothes that you look and feel great in. — Don’t buy clothes that already need major alterations. Pant hems are a total exception, but just because it’s on clearance does not mean it’s a steal. You’re going to have to get it altered, it may never fit right and you’ll never wear it.
Here’s even more things to thing about when you have nothing to wear and you really ought to be thinking quality over quantity.
Tim Gunn had a show about Nina Garcia wrote a book about it - but there are some classic items you should really have in your closet, so regardless the occassion you DO have something to wear to it.
To just name a few: interview suit, classic black dress, fitting jeans, white blouse, quality/grown up purse
If you want to know more and read about why you should have them, check out Nina Garcia’s book The One Hundred.

So the main point here is - Make well thought out decisions when you’re at the mall. It’s okay to buy a trendy outfit or earring every once in awhile, but don’t spend alot of money on it and get rid of your old trendy outfits.
It’s always good to get rid of clothes that don’t fit you anymore or you just don’t wear anymore. It’s so inspiring to work in a closet full of clothes you love and can’t wait to wear!!
